Driving Instructor Training
Our driving instructor training course in Surrey enables you to become a qualified driving instructor.
A career as a driving instructor offers a good rate of pay and flexible working hours and can be very rewarding.
ADI Part 1
To become an ADI you must successfully complete a three part qualifying examination. Part 1 is a theory test.
The theory test is made up of two parts; the multiple choice part and the hazard perception part. The multiple choice part is delivered using a touch screen computer and mouse and the hazard perception part records your responses through your mouse click. You must pass both parts to pass the theory test. If you pass one part and fail the other you will fail the whole test, and subsequently will have to take both parts again.
ADI Part 2
Part 2 is a practical test of your driving ability.
The practical test of driving ability consists of tests of both eyesight and driving technique. The test lasts for about 1 hour. You must pass both parts of the test at the same time.
ADI Part 3
Part 3 is a practical test of your ability to instruct.
The object of the test is to assess the value of the instruction you give and your ability to pass your knowledge on to pupils. The test is in 2 parts, each of which lasts about half an hour. You must pass both parts on the same test. You will be asked to show your knowledge and ability by giving practical driving instruction to the Examiner who will first take on the role of a pupil who is a beginner, or a learner driver with limited knowledge, and then a pupil who is at about test standard.
WHAT OUR STUDENTS ARE SAYING…
I was nervous to start with driving lessons however during the course of the lessons my instructor Rob Andrews helped build my confidence and road knowledge and he helped me pass my test first time with 2 minors. Highly recommend Rob
I passed my test second time in December of 2019 with no minors, and I thoroughly recommend learning to drive with David! I had lessons for around a year and he instilled in me a great level of confidence that I never thought I’d be able to reach. I can now drive very independently without any nerves! Thank you David
I had a brilliant experience.. I was a nervous driver who can make mistake any time and unexpectedly but I literally start loving driving because of Rob Schifani.. He made me comfortable and looking forward to the better by giving me simplest examples.. He made me not to give up.. Me passing test is due to my instructor… So congrats to you
Before I started learning I was so nervous, in my first lesson Rob Andrews talked it all through with me and calmed my nerves really well, learning to drive for me has been a wonderful experience as Rob is such a nice guy and is really easy to get along with. I would highly recommend Rob Andrews as I passed today with 1 minor.
What an emotional rollercoaster Steve and I have been through to get me through my test… but we finally did it!!!! It’s been tough learning to drive again at 35. Even though I’m pretty confident behind the wheel, anxiety and frustration has got the better of me on occasions. But Steve has been the most patient, kind and understanding instructor, who truly brings the best out of me and didn’t give up on me after many meltdowns. 5* isn’t enough on here. The BEST instructor I Could have asked for!
Highly recommend Rob Andrews from surrey driving force. He taught me everything I needed to know and helped me a lot whilst learning how to drive. I passed my test 1st time with 1 minor, so I’m really happy with how it went.
So today after a long difficult journey with self belief i passed My driving test first time with 2 minors. My instructor was Rob Andrews and i Can’t recommend him enough! He has helped me over come my negativity and has really gone the extra mile on each of my lessons to make me feel relaxed so for someone who is like me and struggles with positive mental attitude i really recommend rob. Thank you rob for everything you have done for me and im so glad i made you proud! Thank you once again!!!
got to say surrey driving force was an amazing experience as i pass first time today and instructor chris was brilliant at his job would highly recommend to anyone looking for a driving school and instructor
I would 100% recommend Surrey driving force and Steve as a instructor. Extremely helpful and got me through my test passing first time!
I would thoroughly recommend Surrey Driving Force as I passed my practical test today first time with only four minors. First of all I would like to thank Kish for teaching me the basic ground rules of operating a car and getting me started out on the roads when I had no clue what was going on. I would also like to thank Rob Schifano for continuing the process of broadening my experience whilst out and about. He is very patient and easily explains how to carry out manoeuvres by breaking it down into simple steps when I was struggling.
