One of the first questions we are asked by prospective learner drivers is ‘how many lessons will I need to take before I have learnt the skills that I need to pass my test?’

Unfortunately, this is an almost impossible question to answer because each learner is different and everybody learns at a different pace. When it comes to driving taking a short cut can be a time saving method. However, when it comes to taking your driving lessons, short cuts are never a good thing and as such we will never take short cuts which may hinder your chances for the best possible chance of success.

Whilst this may mean that you ultimately take a few more lessons than your friend or family member did, it will result in you becoming the best driver that you can possibly be.

Only by putting your trust in the ‘right’ school and the ‘right’ instructor, will you be able to maximise your chances of preparing for your test quickly.

It is essential that you feel comfortable when learning to drive and as such, your instructor should be someone that is calm and patient no matter what mistake you make and you should always feel comfortable alongside them. With guidance of a good instructor and the willingness to learn, you may find that the amount of driving lessons you need, is not as many as you first thought.

The Importance of Assessment Lessons
